Although Google’s AdSense program is an excellent way to earn money,we need to understandthat Google is a company that cannot be messed with!
We should not abuse the system in order to make a quick buck. Many website owners, knowinglyor unknowingly, violate AdSense Terms and Conditions and subsequently get banned.
If you are really serious about earning from AdSense, make sure you do not do anything that canget yourself banned. I have listed 12 things that you should NEVER even think of doing.
1.Never, I repeat, never click on your own Ads:
I think this is one of the biggest reasons why AdSense accounts get disabled. This seems obvious, but it’s surprising how many people actually do that intentionally.
If you think by clicking on your own ads, you can fool Google, you are highly mistaken.Googlehas got its own proprietary technology to find out if the publisher has clicked on his own ads.And once they know that, your account is in jeopardy.
Google wants to protect the investment of its advertisers, and it will never tolerate any falseclicks. So make sure you do not make this foolish mistake.
2.Never, I repeat, never tell others to click on your own Ads
I often see click-swapping on AdSense forums. It’s kind of you-click-on-my-ad-and-I-will-click-onyours.Never ever do this.
If you want a strong AdSense business, stay away from trouble.Don’t ask even your friends, relatives or employees to click on your ads.Do not provide any kind of an incentive to anyone forclicking on your ads.
I feel one good way to protect yourself is not to disclose your website’s domain to anyone. Keep itto yourself and you are safe!
3.Never, I repeat, never modify Google’s AdSense code
This is against Google’s policy. Just use the code as-is.Don’t play around with it at all.
4.Never, I repeat, never put images next to your AdSense Ads.
This is a relatively new policy. When I started with AdSense, this rule did not exist. Moreover, whatGoogle actually wanted with this policy was never very clear.Nor did Google do a good job ofclearly defining what is allowed and what is not.
Even I had put some pretty images next to my Ads, and achieved excellent CTR. But here is a ruleof thumb. If you are in doubt, ALWAYS play safe. When this policy was enforced, I did not waste amoment removing images that were next to my ads. After all, I love my AdSense account, too!
My suggestion: If you have images next to your AdSense ads, remove them immediately
5.Never, I repeat, never title your ads the wrong way.
You are not allowed to label your Ads with messages like“Click Here”,“Related Links”or anythingelse that misleads people into thinking that it is not an Advertisement.
You are however allowed to mention “Advertisements”or “Sponsored Links”, because your ads areactually Advertisements. And Google is OK with that. If you want, you may prefer not to put anylabel at all.
6.Never, I repeat, never put AdSense on pages that do not have enough content.
Yeah, this is something that web-masters may not be aware of. But Google allows AdSense onlyon pages with good content.
Therefore it is not advisable to put ads on Thank You pages, subscription pages etc.Make doublysure that you have Ads only on pages with good content.
This also means that you should not put your ads on sites with junk content. Any site that doesn’treally add value to the visitor is considered to be a junk site.
7.Never, I repeat, never put AdSense on sites that have got prohibitive content.
Make sure you do not have Ads on sites that have got anything to do with drugs, pornography, hatred, gambling etc.
Again, this is self explanatory, but some people simply don’t understand!
8.Never, I repeat, never create multiple Google AdSense Accounts.
Google allows you to have only 1 personal account and 1 business account. Google links thesetwo accounts.Never try to fool Google by creating different accounts under different names.
As long as you do not get caught, it’s fine. But if Google traces these accounts as being used bythe same person, all your accounts are in danger of being suspended.
9.Never, I repeat, never enlist your site in any kind of auto-surf or traffic exchangeprograms.
Again, this is against Google’s TOS. So stay clear of it.
10.Never, I repeat, never exceed the amount of ads you can display on a page.
Currently Google only allows 3 Ad blocks, 3 Link units and 3 referral buttons to be put on onepage. I personally feel Google has allowed more than what is required. So, I don’t know why youwould ever want more than this.
11.Never, I repeat, never reveal your AdSense Data
Google doesn’t allow public display of your CTR, Impressions,eCPM etc on forums, eBooks, websites or any other publicly viewable media.
But Google doesn’t have any objection if you mention how much you earn from AdSense… justdon’t go into the details of your clicks, impressions, CTR, or eCPM.
12.Never, I repeat, never stay outdated!
Google’s policies are constantly changing. It will help if you know what changes are taking placein the world of AdSense so that you can update your sites if required.
If you get banned by AdSense for whatever reason you cannot give the excuse that you were“not aware” of the policy. This will not be of much help. So know the waters that you tread on!This article, by no means, is a comprehensive list of AdSense Policies. I highly recommend you gothrough all the policies in details. And never even try to cheat the system.

How To Avoid Getting Your Adsense Account Terminated
Google, being the undisputable leader in search engines from then until now, is placing a high importance on the quality and relevancy of its search engines. Most especially now that the company is public property. In order to keep the shareholders and users of its engines happy, the quality of the returned results are given extreme importance.
For this same reason, doing the wrong things in the Adsense and other forms of advertisements, whether intentionally or unintentionally, will result in a severe penalty, may get you banned and even have your account terminated. Nothing like a good action taken to keep wrongdoers from doing the same things over again.
So for those who are thinking of getting a career in Adsense, do not just think of the strategies you will be using to generate more earnings. Consider some things first before you actually get involved.
Hidden texts. Filling your advertisement page with texts to small to read, has the same color as the background and using css for the sole purpose of loading them with rich keywords content and copy will earn you a penalty award that is given to those who are hiding links.
Page cloaking. There is a common practice of using browser or bot sniffers to serve the bots of a different page other than the page your visitors will see. Loading a page with a bot that a human user will never see is a definite no-no. This is tricking them to click on something that you want but they may not want to go to.
Multiple submissions. Submitting multiple copies of your domain and pages is another thing to stay away from. For example, trying to submit a URL of an Adsense as two separate URL’s is the same as inviting trouble and even termination. Likewise, this is a reason to avoid auto submitters for those who are receiving submissions. Better check first if your domain is submitted already an a certain search engine before you try to submit to it again. If you see it there, then move on. No point contemplating whether to try and submit there again.
Link farms. Be wary of who and what are you linking your Adsense to. The search engines know that you cannot control your links in. But you can certainly control what you link to. Link farming has always been a rotten apple in the eyes of search engines, especially Google. That is reason enough to try and avoid them. Having a link higher than 100 on a single page will classify you as a link farm so try and not to make them higher than that.
Page rank for sale. If you have been online for quite some time, you will notice that there are some sites selling their PR links or trading them with other sites. If you are doing this, expect a ban anytime in the future. It is okay to sell ads or gain the link. But doing it on direct advertisement of your page rank is a way to get on search engines bad side.
Doorways. This is similar to cloaking pages. The common practice of a page loaded with choice keyword ads aimed at redirecting visitors to another “user-friendly” page is a big issue among search engines. There are many seo firms offering this kind of services. Now that you know what they actually are, try to avoid them at all costs.
Multiple domains having the same content. In case you are not aware of it, search engines look at domains IP’s, registry dates and many others. Having multiple domains having the same exact content is not something you can hide from them. The same goes with content multiplied many times on separate pages, sub domains and forwarding multiple domains to the same content.
Many of the above techniques apply to most search engines and is not entirely for Google only. By having a mind set that you are building your Adsense together with your pages for the human users and not for bots, you can be assured of the great things for your ads and sites.
Not to mention avoiding the wrath of the search engines and getting your Adsense and site account terminated altogether.

Tracking AdSense Ads In Blogger
I recently decided to do some serious research on tracking software for my Google AdSense program and was a little bit surprised with the results.
There are several nice looking products out there, some of which are available for free as open source programs while others are for sale with a free trial or a money back guaranty. A simple Google search for "adsense tracking software" will keep you busy for hours.
There is, however, a problem with all of these options if you are one of the many bloggers hosting your Google AdSense ads on blogger.com or any of the other free blog hosts. You will find that all third party software programs require files to be loaded on the server. This issue alone excludes them from use on your free blog.
For those bloggers using a free platform, the question becomes, "How do I track my AdSense ads?". Rest easy dear friends. There is a solution. Granted, it's not as slick or simple as one of those cool self contained programs, and this method will not produce quite as much data, but it is free and it will work and it's not overly complicated.
The first thing you have to do is take advantage of the channels option when you set up your ad designs. It is a very simple process to complete. After you have chosen the size and colors of the add block, you will be asked to "Choose Ad Channels". Click "add new channel" and enter a name for this new channel. I prefer to use a name that describes the ad or referral link, such as "Top Banner", "Right Wide Tower", "FF Referral", etc. This way I can easily recognize each ad block or referral in my reports and gauge it's performance. If you have multiple sites, be sure to include a site prefix in each name. ("Dogs Right Link Box", Cats Left Referral Button") For proper tracking, it is necessary to go through this process for each ad unit, link box, referral button, or text link.
Next go to Google Analytics. Get your account set up, then install the javascript code into your template and wait for the system to start gathering information. This process takes overnight because the Google Analytics system collects and compiles it's data every 24 hours. When this data starts to flow you will have plenty to look at for a while until you decide exactly what is important to you. You can dissect this information any number of ways including the all important "Keywords" category and you can set up the system to report multiple websites.
I also like to set up an account for each site over at Sitemeter.com. One benefit to having the sitemeter account is that it reports in real time instead of having to wait until the next day for your hit count.
Now you have the ability to see exactly which ad units and referral links are performing and which are not by checking your AdSense report with channels. You can monitor the flow of traffic through your site(s) including the referring URL, keywords used, and tons more through Google Analytics. You have a source for real time hit data with sitemeter. All of which was free.
With these three tools in place you should be able to generate all of the data you need to manage a successful Google Adsense experience.

Contextual Advertising Tips - How To Increase Your Adsense Income
As the search engines evolve and become more aware of junk websites you will have to use a completely new strategy and plan of action if you want to significantly increase your Adsense income and earn substantial profits every month.
A few years ago it was relatively easy to profit from Adsense by collecting massive lists of related keyword phrases and using automated software to create huge websites in minutes. All you had to do was upload these websites to your hosting account and wait for the search engines to start sending you traffic.
But those days are now long gone and the search engines have become smarter with technology that can easily recognise these junk websites and ban them from the listings. The main aim of a search engine is to provide relevant results that are closely related to the keyword phrase being searched so it was in their interest to clean up the listings by removing junk websites.
These days its still possible to earn substantial profits with Adsense but it requires a more professional approach which smart marketers can benefit from. So instead of creating huge junk websites you need to concentrate on creating smaller websites that provide relevant and useful information for each keyword phrase that you want to target.
So the first thing you will need to do is choose a specific niche and collect a list of about 25 to 50 long tail keyword phrases consisting of between three and six words each. Its important to target long tail keyword phrases because they will have less competition and will be easier to achieve top rankings in the search engines.
Then you need to set up a website and create one page for each keyword phrase on your list, so if you have 50 keyword phrases you would have 50 pages on your website (you can use a tool called X Site Pro to help you do this). Each page of your website should be optimised for each keyword phrase you are targeting by using articles that have the best keyword density.
So each article on each page is specifically optimised for one keyword phrase so that it has the best chance of achieving top rankings in the search engines. To earn profits from Adsense you will then need to insert the ad units around the content of each page in certain positions which get the most clicks.
Its common knowledge that the rectangle ad unit is by far the most effective but if you want to generate the most clicks it should be positioned inside the article so that the text runs alongside it and then below it. You can then place the leader board ad unit at the top of the page, the skyscraper ad unit at the side of the page, and a link unit above the article to get even more clicks.
The last thing you will need to do is blend the colour of your ad units with the colour of your website template. This makes the ad units look less like adverts and more like content which is a proven way of increasing the amount of clicks you will generate so that you can maximise your earnings.
To quickly get your website listed in the search engines you will then need to obtain incoming links from other websites that have a high page rank. You can either buy one way links from various sources or write some articles and submit them to a few article directories so that the search engines can find your website.
This is a brief overview of how you can increase your Adsense income by creating smaller and more targeted websites that provide relevant and useful content that the search engines like. Once you have finished creating your website you can repeat the process again and again for many different niche markets.

3 Reasons Why Adsense Is Essential For Content Sites
To know why Adsense is essential for your content sites is to know first how this works.
The concept is really simple, if you think about it. The publisher or the webmaster inserts a java script into a certain website. Each time the page is accessed, the java script will pull advertisements from the Adsense program. The ads that are targeted should therefore be related to the content that is contained on the web page serving the ad. If a visitor clicks on an advertisement, the webmaster serving the ad earns a portion of the money that the advertiser is paying the search engine for the click.
The search engine is the one handling all the tracking and payments, providing an easy way for webmasters to display content-sensitive and targeted ads without having the hassle to solicit advertisers, collect funds, monitor the clicks and statistics which could be a time-consuming task in itself. It seems that there is never a shortage of advertisers in the program from which the search engine pulls the Adsense ads. Also webmasters are less concerned by the lack of information search engines are providing and are more focused in making cash from these search engines.
The first reason why Adsense is essential for content sites is because it already has come a long way in understanding the needs of publishers and webmasters. Together with its continuous progression is the appearance of more advanced system that allows full ad customization. Webmasters are given the chance to choose from many different types of text ad formats to better complement their website and fit their webpage layout.
The different formatting enables the site owners the possibility of more click through from visitors who may or may not be aware of what they are clicking on. It can also appeal to the people visiting thus make them take that next step of looking up what it is all about. This way the people behind the Adsense will get their content read and making profit in the process.
The second reason is the ability of the Adsense publishers to track not only how their sites are progressing but also the earnings based on the webmaster-defined channels. The recent improvements in the search engines gives webmasters the capability to monitor how their ads are performing using customizable reports that has the capacity to detail page impressions, clicks and click-through rates. Webmasters and publishers can now track specific ad formats, colors and pages within a website. Trends are also easily spotted.
With the real-time reporting at hand, the effectiveness of the changes made will be assessed quickly. There would be time to sort out the contents that people are making the most clicks on. The ever-changing demands would be met while generating cash for the webmasters and publishers. The more flexible tools are also allowing webmasters to group web pages by URL, domain, ad type or category, which will provide them some accurate insight on which pages, ads and domains are performing best.
The last and final reason is that the advertisers have realized the benefits associated having their ads served on targeted websites. Thus increasing the possibility that a prospective web surfer will have an interest in their product and services. All because of the content and its constant maintenance. As opposed to those who are no using Adsense in their sites, they are given the option of having other people do their content for them, giving them the benefit of having successful and money-generating web sites.
Adsense is all about targeted content, the more targeted your content is, the more target the search engines' ads will be. There are some web masters and publishers who are focused more on their site contents and how best to maintain them rather than the cash that the ads will generate for them. This is the part where the effectiveness is working its best.
There was a time when people were not yet aware of the money to be achieved from advertisements. The cash generated only came into existence when the webmasters and publishers realized how they can make Adsense be that generator. In those days, the content were the most important factors that is taken quite seriously. It still is. With the allure of money, of course.

Keeping Your Account From Being Disabled and Useful Books About the Program
How Can I Make Sure That My Account Will Not Be Disabled?
Google Adsense Program Policies make no allowances for deceptive practices. The most important thing a publisher can do to ensure the integrity of their site is to be aware of what is happening on your site.
Google has made it abundantly clear not to click on your own ads or ask others to do so. But what about practices a publisher may not purposely carry out?
Make sure that ads associated with Google never appear in an unrequested pop-up. Don’t be talked into purchasing traffic for your site that may contain adware.
Respect the Google trademarks. Don’t use any Google trademarks or logos without their consent.
Don’t change the Adsense code. If you’re a pro at html, don’t assume you can add your own code. If you’re new to html, simply copy and paste the offered code. Don’t mess with it.
Provide a good environment for advertisers and a positive user experience. Don’t try to be deceptive in any way. Google’s rules may sound strict, but believe me, protecting the integrity of the Google Adsense Program is in your best interest as well as Google’s. After all, a positive, honest Google Adsense program means more money for all of us.

How Much Money You Can Make and URL Channels Explanation
How Much Money Can I Make With Google Adsense?
How much do you want to make? How hard do you want to work? And how much time do you want to spend working the Google Adsense program?
These are the questions you must ask yourself in order to answer that question.
Look at it this way: how many business opportunities come your way where the only requirement is hard work and the time it takes to work hard? Not many. Almost any business venture requires some kind of start-up money.
If your total earnings is showing 0.00 after a week, not to worry. Keep reading and learning and working. If however, you’re still showing 0.00 after a month, it may be time to implement some of those optimization tips you’ll find on the Google Adsense Support Site. Play around with the placement of the ads on your site. Consider changing the colors. Look again at the content. Is it interesting?
As with any other business, with the Google Adsense program, the sky is the limit. Work hard. Work smart. Have fun. After all, you’re the boss.
What Are URL Channels and How to Organize Them in Google Adsense
URL Channels allow you to view detailed information about the performance of your Adsense for Content pages.
Suppose you have a blog at writingup.com and you also have a blog at bloggerparty.com. It might be interesting and profitable to track which one is getting more clicks. Log in to your Adsense account and click on Adsense for Content. Scroll down until you see Channels and click on manage channels. You may need to scroll up when the next page loads. Under Manage URL Channels you would type writingup.com and click on Create New Channel. You will immediately see writingup.com in the Active URL Channels dialogue box Now type in bloggerparty.com in the same channel text box and again click on Create New Channel. You now have two channels and you will be able to track your progress on each channel. You can view channel reports from the Advanced Report page under the Reports tab. Choose Adsense for Content, choose the date range and then select the Channels Data radio button. Choose any number of active channels by holding down the CTRL key. Next click on Display Report. It’s as easy as that.

Google Adsense Themed Ad Units Can Brighten Up Your Holidays
What are Themed Ad Units. Simple. They are ads that have special colors and graphics to celebrate the season! For instance, you might see your ad with orange print with a picture of a black cat for Halloween. How about red print with a green mistletoe for Christmas?
The Themed Ad Units are specifically tailored to users in the appropriate locations as determined by their IP address. For instance, a user in the United States might see colors and graphics appropriate to the Fourth of July while users everywhere could see colors and graphics for New Years Day.
Again, it’s your choice and your page. You can turn Themed Ad Units on or off by yourself. Just log in to your account, go to the My Account tab. On the Account Settings page, scroll down to the Ad Type Preferences section and click Edit. You can now enable or disable the Themed Ad Units. Click save changes and Voila!
